SAFEMATE Foal Alarm. Now Available in Australia!
Safemate normally goes off 15-45 minutes before foaling. During the period prior to foaling, the mare will 'block up', leading to an increase in temperature, this is picked up by the foaling alarm, which then generates a wireless signal to the receiver.
The all-leather harness belt, adjustable to fit large mares through to small ponies (minis too) is fitted with a waterproof and shock resistant transmitter. The neck sweat incorporates 2 sensors which will register when the mare starts sweating. The sensitivity is adjustable from the transmitter. When triggered, a radio signal is sent to the receiver, which in turn emits a light and auditory signal. The transmission distance is upto 600m in open air. The harness strap can be worn outside and even if the mare is rolling. SAFEMATE is a quality product, developed by breeders and backed by a 2 year warranty.
SAFEMATE will finally put an end to all those sleepless nights!
